Many of you are already familiar with Eletewater ( www.eletewater.co.uk ) and have used it very successfully in races and training. They are one of the race’s biggest supporters and in 2009 they not only supplied the  competitors with the product, but David Thomas, the Director, also helped on the actual race. Some additional good news is that following a year of testing and analysis they have been awarded a certificate from Informed Sport.

For those of you who haven’t heard of this organization you can read about them on www.informed-sport.com but basically they run a supplement testing programme designed to test supplements and/or their ingredients for inadvertent contamination with substances prohibited in sports. Certification also requires ongoing batch analysis – so all athletes who use eletewater can be confident that there will be no drug test failure from this source.

When preparing for Al Andalus Ultra Trail, Desert Runner Training Camps and our other projects I am always looking at and researching outdoor sports products. The 2010 race will include a mobile shop and many recommended products will be available, during the race or to pre-order at any time.

Amongst this growing list will be Grivel Trekking Poles, Trangoworld Skin Micro Lite mattresses, Chocolate 9, Peronin high-tec food and Trek’n eat products. I will review these on the Product page and I am sure that by July I will have added many more.
