Competitors comments

I loved this race. The landscape, the environment, the organization, and the competitors welcomed me. It’s very challenging to finish almost every day with a tough climb. The heat is, of course, especially hard and when you feel most alone, but you find the motivation. The friendly atmosphere made it possible.  Alexandre Marrot (FR), 2013 Overall Champion

I had a dream. Go to Spain, run, enjoy, and meet nice extraordinary people. My dream came true. Thank you all, runners, staff and volunteers for this lifetime memory. It has been a great week.   – Ben Bol (NED)

The friendly spirit of the AAUT runners is extraordinary. The atmosphere is supportive so we only have to think about running. For two of us, the temperature was the most difficult. The heat is unlike the Sahara, and there is nothing that compares with the Andalusian sun.

– “The Cool Runnings” (FR), Alexandre Marrot, Grégory Haye, Jean-Marc Paget, 1st place Team

Thanks everyone for a fantastic week in Andalusia! It has been a pleasure to run there again with so many great people from all over the world. Thanks to Team Axarsport and all volunteers that did such a great job!  -Arend Burgers (NED), 5th year participant

A great week, a great race, a great event!! Made possible by a fantastic race organisation team, an amazing group of volunteers keeping us going at the checkpoints, a fabulous crew to organise the race camp, the terrific medical team, and of course all of the awesome runners!! Old friendships cemented, new ones made. Thanks everyone!  -Tony Salter (U.K.), 4th year participant
