Diverse Route

Al Andalus Ultimate Trail is well-known as one of the most difficult stage races due to dry desert heat and undulating terrain covered by a variety of distances. The route is a mix of road, farm track, and technical trail. It passes through stretches of the famous GR-7 footpath and the Sierras Loja, Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama, nationally-protected natural parks rich in agriculture and history. AAUT is a 5 point UTMB qualifier.

Pre-Race Assistance

AAUT organizers assist participants with travel plans to and from the event (additional fees apply to airport transfers). Regular pre-event updates, stage profiles, and reminders of key requirements such as medical and insurance begin six months ahead of the event.
