Al Andalus Ultimate Trail 2011 was a very tough race and many seasoned competitors found it the toughest they had ever done. The course is demanding and technical with high temperatures (35-40C), numerous long climbs, and scenic trails. Over 90% is off-road, mountain, and desert tracks with the majority of tarmac in the final kilometers when approaching the stage village finishes.
Al Andalus Ultimate Trail 2012 will be even more challenging with a new twist to Stage 4 that will keep it fresh for those returning and a great experience for the new participant. The race is semi-supported, and as the testimonials of the 2011 participants show, there is a unique atmosphere that everyone shared during AAUT - making it an event that anyone serious about ultra running should aspire to and add to their list of "have dones." Make sure you are part of this amazing event. We look forward to seeing you!
" I have done lots of events and you got all the big things right on this one! The atmosphere was fantastic. "
Tom Harper.
"The trails were superb, all great running, remote, challenging and hot. Support was excellent. " Sharon Gayter.
