Edition I of Al Andalus Ultra Trail 2009, proved to be a very tough race and many seasoned competitors said it was the toughest they had ever done. The course was demanding, temperatures were high (35-45C), climbs numerous and long and the trails scenic. Over 90% was off-road, mountain and desert tracks with the majority of tarmac in the final kilometers when approaching the stage village finishes.
Edition II will prove to be just as demanding and challenging, with some new twists and turns that will keep it fresh for those returning and a great challenge for the new participant. The race is semi-supported, and as the testimonials of the 2009 participants show, there is a unique atmosphere that everyone shared during AAUT - making it an event that anyone serious about ultra running should aspire to, and add to their list of " have dones ". Make sure that you are a part of this amazing event. We look forward to seeing you.
